This was a perfect ceremony. Thank you Krista! You are easy to work with and made this life step lovely and enjoyable for us and our family. Our ceremony was perfect. The words you spoke on our behalf truly touched us. With Moab being our home and the start of our love story, we couldn’t have asked for anything more beautiful than this dream wedding surrounded by the pure beauty of the area.

I cannot thank you enough for all of your efforts and how happy the both of us are with all that you did, it means the world to us and for that you will always remain a special person in our hearts. Kathi-Rae has talked about it often and it was so special to her, she is having a ball telling all her friends about our day together with you. Everything was just perfect, the vows you wrote incredible and sharing that special hike with us was truly amazing. After many years together, my husband (then fiancé) and I decided rather than having a full-on wedding, and worrying about what everyone else would want and/or need, I looked at him and said, “Let’s have a wedding for us.” Thus, we decided on a roadtrip wedding. I knew I wanted Moab, Utah to be the “I Do” spot, but I did not know just how phenomenal it would be without the help of Krista Guss.
I selected Krista, speaking candidly here, based off her last name from the Moab officiant list (Gus is the name of my college mascot, and I was finishing up my MBA the week before our wedding roadtrip; serendipity!)
It’s safe to assume that Krista and I connected. She responded quickly and I explained our situation to her, and it’s like she ran with it. We talked on the phone and connected in a way that, as soon as the phone call ended, I told my then-fiancé, “This was the best choice.”
Fast forward to the day of the ceremony. Krista came fully prepared with energy and charisma. I asked if she would be able to take a few pictures for us, and she truly delivered. Due to the snowy conditions, we settled on Wilson Arch to say our vows on and everything fell perfectly into place. The entire ceremony was quick, beautiful, and all around the most incredible day a person could imagine.
You would think the officiating would stop there, but it did not.
Krista gave us a continuous tour of Moab’s sites and provided us with some local knowledge.
We stopped at the hotel and exchanged my wedding dress for a warmer sweatshirt and jeans, and Krista continued to be our photographer for the day. While she bestowed her knowledge of all things Moab and local eats, beautiful sites, and historical facts, she also asked my husband and I all about us and we got to really delve into the reasons that made us choose marriage. It was like talking to a friend the whole time.
Krista Guss is one of a kind and I love that she was part of our day. More than just an officiant! From the officiant service, the photo taking, the touring of all things Moab; truly a unique wedding experience that you cannot get from anyone or anywhere else!
My English is not so good and Krista very nice. She patient with us. She help us get the exact service we want. She help us understand paperwork and make us feel very special and important. We love our wedding day and Krista make it that way. Thank you Krista for helping us make wish come true.
